I was high on mushrooms at the Mountain Vibe Festival when I fashioned these images. Forged with my own fingers, these images were made on my mobile device. I was hidden away in a tent next to two sleeping lesbians, regretting taking the drugs, but happy in the comfort of an air mattress and a single blue glow stick, which I insisted gave me near supernatural powers of juvenile and flirtatious appeal.
I was fingering through the sketchbook I worked most closely with in 2013 and noticed a few things...
1) that particular sketch book is one of my favorites.
2) it needs color.
So I took some to this drawing and this is the result. The picture had gone through some new renderings since I snapped this image, but the principal ideas remain.
These are some recent works in the little book. Two I did just last night; the man in the circle, and the round crystal. I bought this little book right outside or inside of the Coachella valley. I'm convinced it is enchanted with desert magic.
